Marco Bourgeois: When Accounting Becomes a Connection

In a real estate agency, everything often begins with a project, a meeting, a signature. But for these impulses to last, something else is required: a solid, reliable, attentive structure. At Besson Immobilier, this stability rests largely on accounting—a discreet but essential department that safeguards the balance of the whole organization. At the heart of this pillar is Marco Bourgeois, Head of the Accounting Department. The person through whom everything passes, the one who connects numbers to people, and decisions to reality.

Balance behind the scenes

At Besson Immobilier, accounting is not merely an administrative function. It is a true strategic tool. It supports teams, reassures property owners, structures condominiums, ensures transparency, and enables the company to move forward with confidence. Salaries, invoicing, commissions, deposits, condominiums, client accounts, management of more than 120 PPE (condominium ownership) files, year-end closings, reminders, owner follow-ups, building administration… Each element fits into a complex, living system in constant motion.

Marco stands at the center of this system. He does not simply record numbers he gives them meaning. Because behind every accounting entry lies a relationship, a commitment, a responsibility.

A man of trust

His colleagues say it without hesitation: Marco is helpful, attentive, and empathetic. People approach him without fear, knowing he will always look for a solution. Even under pressure, even when the workload is heavy, he maintains the rare ability to remain calm, to put things into perspective, and to think clearly.

He takes his work to heart sometimes too much. His standards are high: wanting to do things right, to be fair, to leave nothing to chance. Stress may sometimes slow him down, but he never gives up. He adjusts. For him, the trust of others is precious, and he does everything to deserve it. This integrity and sense of responsibility have been shaped by experience, through interactions with people and real-life situations.

In the same spirit, Marco has never stopped learning. Training, deepening his knowledge, and staying up to date are integral to his way of working—through continuous education in real estate accounting, condominium (PPE) management, taxation, and tenancy law, as well as the tools and practices that shape the evolution of the profession. Not to accumulate titles, but to better understand, refine his approach, and remain worthy of the trust placed in him. For Marco, learning is a natural extension of his high standards: a way to keep progressing, always in the service of others.

Numbers, but Above All, Relationships

What sets Marco apart in his profession is his relationship with people. He enjoys welcoming property owners, explaining charges, and taking the time to make figures understandable. He values contact, exchange, and discussion. For him, accounting is not a barrier it is a language he translates for others. And this taste for human connection does not stop at the agency’s walls.

Commitment as a guiding thread

Originally from Bovernier, Marco grew up in village life, where involvement is learned early on. To this day, he remains deeply committed to his community. As a member of the Culture, Leisure, and Sports Commission, he actively contributes to organizing events that keep the collective spirit alive village festivals, sports activities, cultural moments, and intergenerational gatherings.

He is also involved in the parish, serving as treasurer and member of the management council. Once again, he places his skills at the service of the community, with discretion and consistency.

This sense of commitment is equally present in his personal relationships. Very close to his family and loyal to lifelong friends, he nurtures strong, lasting, deeply rooted bonds. Even as lives change, the roots remain

When numbers leave room to breathe

To recharge, Marco primarily seeks a change of scenery. The mountains hold a special place in his life: hiking, staying in Swiss Alpine Club huts methodically recorded in a notebook skiing, and ski touring. These escapes allow him to step back and regain balance. He also enjoys traveling, stepping outside daily routines, without necessarily going far simply to breathe differently.

There is also football, and FC Sion in particular. A loyal, almost ritualistic passion. Marco attends nearly every match, often accompanied by his father and uncles, with whom he shares far more than support for a club: a moment, a tradition, a bond. In the stands, he rediscovers that collective intensity and popular fervor that echo his love for connection and engagement.

And then there are his more mechanical passions: cars, racetracks, the Nürburgring a demanding and precise place that is not unlike his relationship with work.

The thread that connects

At Besson Immobilier, Marco is far more than the Head of the Accounting Department. He is an anchor point. The one who structures, secures, explains, and supports. The one who connects internal teams, property owners, partners, and projects.

In the background, behind the scenes, he safeguards balance. He turns numbers into reference points. He ensures that everyone can move forward with confidence.

And even if his work is not always visible, it is felt everywhere in the solidity of the company, in the trust within relationships, and in that precious sense that, whatever happens, someone is holding the thread.

That someone is Marco Bourgeois, Head of the Accounting Department at Besson Immobilier.
